What is AWANA? AWANA is an international, Bible-centered children's and youth ministry. The AWANA goal is to reach children, teenagers, and their families with the Gospel of Christ to train them to serve them. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. The heart of AWANA is the Gospel message that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again.

What are AWANA Club meetings like? AWANA weekly club meetings have programs and training for students in preschool through fifth grade. Structure consists of music time, council time, handbook time, and of course, game time. AWANA believes that memorizing and understanding God's Word are keys to winning the battle against sin.

Who can participate? The AWANA club charted by Grace Evangelical Free Church offers three clubs for boys and girls from ages two years before Kindergarten through 5th grade:

Cubbies: Two years prior to Kindergarten

Sparks: Kindergarten through 2nd grade boys and girls

Truth & Training (T&T): 3rd through 5th grade boys and girls

Reward program - in addition to the awards Clubbers earn as they progress through their handbooks, we have set up a reward program where Clubbers earn points from their work, performance, achievement, character, or behavior. Clubbers can cash in their points for prizes in our AWANA store held on selected dates.

Grand Prix - The AWANA Grand Prix is an annual event where Clubbers race their custom-made racing cars built from AWANA kits. Trophies are awarded for 1st through 5th place and for six design categories.
