Missions
God is at work as never before. People all over the world are coming to the saving knowledge of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. But at the same time, Satan is doing everything he can to counter this movement. Satan knows his time is short and drawing to a close. This means there is war in the Heavenlies. As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have two distinct roles:
- We are called to share the gospel with all those around us.
- We are called to pray.
Pray for our missionaries as part of your daily prayer life.

| The Allens work with people to teach them how one can break through the bondage of sin in order to experience the abundant life of Jesus Christ. As facilitators, they assist people by taking them through the "Steps to Freedom." They also hold Marriage Enrichment seminars. | ||
| Prayer Requests: Praise God for couples whose hearts have been healed. Pray for our traveling for three weeks during the middle of February. We are heading to Kansas for our Annual Directors Conference for Caring for the Heart Ministries for a week, followed by two weeks of vacation in Florida. Please pray for safe travel, that we may be a blessing to those at the conference, and that we would have great R&R in Florida. | ||

| Tom & Phyllis work with the Evangelical alliance Mission. Tom is the pastor of a small church. They have several Bible studies with individuals and hold marriage counseling sessions. Phyllis directs the music ministry, teaches Sunday school, and works with Christian Women's Club of France. | ||
| Prayer Requests: A dear friend of ours has seen a return of cancer. Please pray for her and her family. She is shining for Christ despite her present suffering. Pray for a new Ladies Bible Study Phyllis is leading. It is an enriching time of study with mature believers. Also pray for the "Coffee Morning" group through which Phyllis has made contacts with local ladies. Someone in this group is also struggling with cancer - her 4th bout of it. Please lift her up in prayer. And pray for our church leaders to have direction about our growing youth group. | ||

| Prayer Requests: Pray that Kent can present truth clearly, challenge for life transformation, and able to not talk too long. Kent's talks only get half the normal time because of the Polish translation. Please pray that the hearts of the Polish families would be open to trusting in Christ. Pray that the Poles would not only hear the truth, but see it lived out in the lives of the staff. Pray that the staff would be flexible servants and always stay spirit-filled and not act out in sin or an unseemly manner. And pray the staff leaders would be organized and great administrators. | ||

| Prayer Requests: Pray for continued growth/grasp of the Bosnian language, and effective understanding of culture in Sarajevo and Bosnia as a whole. Pray for new financial support for the Ministry Center. Pray for time in churches and homes. Pray that Larry would continue to make good progress in healing and his therapy. And pray for the 10-year-old daughter of a missionary family in Sarajevo who was burned by a room heater. Pray that she would heal quickly, that no infection would set in, and that there would be no long-term scarring of the tissues. | ||

| Prayer Requests: Pray for wisdom in organizing the school-age programs, pray for patience and wisdom for the many emotional and physical needs of the families that the center serves, and pray that the staff and the volunteers of the center will show and share the love of Christ. | ||

| Ron's responsibilties include overseeing the receiving and shipping of supplies and maintaining the ministry center database of Rockford, IL. Ron is also responsible for educating students, volunteers, and missionaries on the biblical reasons for ministries of compassion. He helps train and mobilize churches for crisis response. | ||
| Prayer Requests: Pray more churches will "catch the vision" for crisis response. Pray EFCA can help establish relationships with voluntary organizations active in disaster. These relationships help with partnership with likeminded faith-based organizations and leveraging resources for kingdom growth. Please pray that God will use the relationships that are formed to help achieve the mission of "multiplying healthy churches among all people." Also pray for God's wisdom in the next steps for this ministry. | ||

| Prayer Requests: Pray for the Humphry family as they transition to home assignment back in the states. Pray for Maggie, for more answers to the continuing saga relating to her health. Pray for Audrie, for her to understand God's will clearly for her life. And pray for Robert, for his transition to an American high school, especially as he will be starting the school year late. Pray for Patti and Robert as they travel back ahead of Stewart and try to get settled. Pray for Stewart as he travels back on the 17th of September. Stewart also needs to have surgery soon to have the metal removed from his ankle. Pray that we can arrange this quickly once he is home. | ||

| Prayer Requests: Pray for GlobalFingerprints, our orphan sponsorship program that has now officially launched. Out goal for 2008 is 1500 orphans! Pray also for HIV/AIDS Ministries in Congo. People continue to suffer and die with little help physically or spiritually. Pray for continued training for Congolese Christians so that they can minister to those who are suffering. Pray for training and funding to offer treatment for those who are sick and dying. Pray for transformed lives so that AIDS would decrease in our world. And pray for HIV/AIDS ministry outreach in the Ukraine. Pray that the church there would rise to follow Christ's example, who came to "serve and give His live." | ||

| Jim is the country leader for the Evangelical Free Church Mission team in Lima, Peru. This involves overseeing all of the mission's ministry and personnel in Peru, serving as liason with the national church, and leading the mission in making plans and strategies. Jim is also director of the Leadership Training School sponsored by the national church. This school is designed to train lay leaders for the churches of Peru. Jim is helping plant a church in a poor area called Condevilla. | ||
| Prayer Requests: Pray for our new church plant, Esperanza Viva. There needs to be many changes if we are to move to the next level. We need to organize ourselves better and to have clearer plans for the future. Pray for Pastor Lucho to be more disciplined and to have the vision to lead the work forward. Pray for God to raise up more leaders for the work. Pray for His continued provision for our future building plans. | ||

Pray that God would help us know what to study and how to specifically impact our neighbors. Pray about how best to reach out to the whole community, for wisdom as we look at different opportunities in the Latin American region, for support lacking ($100/month), and for travel funds for developing an impact in the whole Latin American area. Also pray for our trip into Haiti, for safety, guidance, and wisdom. Pray that the Lord will direct Clyde as to what to buy and take in first. Pray that they can be an encouragement to the people in Haiti, and also to the workers going in. | ||

| Prayer Requests: Pray for the process of renewing our residency cards. Also, pray for the Petrich Church, as we are trying to find a building to rent to use for our meetings and English clubs. Pray for a translator who will be adding Bulgarian subtitles to a DVD we will be using for a pastors training meeting in March. Pray that the DVD arrives from the UK soon so she can begin. Also lift up a pastor friend of ours who is going through a rough time right now. Pray that God would speak to him, lift him up, and make right things with his family. | ||
