Spring Unit Lessons: The Ultimate Helper

Unit 2 - Children in this next unit will be learning about the Holy Spirit. They will learn that Jesus promised to
send the Holy Spirit to be a helper for us. The children will have the opportunity to explore situations
where they can ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and strength, because the Holy Spirit is our Ultimate
Helper.

Lesson 7: The Holy Spirit: Our Helper (JOHN 14:26, 16:13; ACTS 2:1-4, 13:1-4) Key Concept: The
Holy Spirit helps us remember what the Bible says (JOHN 14:26).

Lesson 8: The Holy Spirit: With us and Strengthens us (JOHN 14:16-18; EPHESIANS 3:16; ACTS 3:
1 - 4:13) Key Concept: The Holy Spirit is always with us, and we can ask Him to help us do what is
right (PHIL. 4:13).

Unit 3 - Camp Iwanabeagee (May 4th to June 1st) In this unit, the children will be exploring the 5-Gs: Grace, Growth, Gifts, Good Stewardship, and Group. They will learn that as they develop these five characteristics,
they can make a difference in the lives of others. Small groups will celebrate the year in Lesson 13 and
discuss how being in a small group makes a difference in their own lives.

Lesson 9: Making a Difference by Telling Others about Jesus (1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-8; ACTS 2:1-41)
Key Concept: We can make a difference in people's lives by sharing the message of Jesus.

Lesson 10: Making a Difference by Showing Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, and Kindness (GALATIANS
5:22-23) Key Concept: When we show love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness, we can make a difference
in people's lives.

Lesson 11: Making a Difference by Showing Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control
(GALATIANS 5:22-23) Key Concept: When we show goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control,
we can make a difference in people's lives.

Lesson 12: Making a Difference by Giving and Serving (2 CORINTHIANS 8-9; PHILIPPIANS 4:10-19; ACTS
4:32-37) Key Concept: We can make a difference in people's lives by giving our resources, time, and
abilities.

Lesson 13: Making a Difference by being in a Small Group (ROMANS 15:5; PHILIPPIANS 2:2; ACTS 2:42-47)
Key Concept: Being in small group can make a difference in our lives and the lives of others in our group.
