Missions

God is at work as never before. People all over the world are coming to the saving knowledge of His Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ. But at the same time, Satan is doing everything he can to counter this movement. Satan knows his time is short and
drawing to a close. This means there is war in the Heavenlies. As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have two distinct
roles:

Pray for our missionaries as part of your daily prayer life.

Wayne & Jeanine Allen	Freedom Ministries	Moline, IL
The Allens work with people to teach them how one can break through the bondage of sin in order to experience the abundant life of Jesus Christ. As facilitators, they assist people by taking them through the "Steps to Freedom." They also hold Marriage Enrichment seminars.
Prayer Requests: Spiritual vitality as they march forward against the enemy. Pray for those they counsel to find freedom in Christ.

Tom & Phyllis Bassett	TEAM	Mennecy, France
Tom & Phyllis work with the Evangelical Alliance Mission. Tom is the pastor of a small church. They have several Bible studies with individuals and hold marriage counseling sessions. Phyllis directs the music ministry, teaches Sunday school, and works with Christian Women's Club of France.
Prayer Requests: Pray that people of their congregation will reach out to the community around them with God's love. Pray that Tom can speak the Lord's heart to his congregation. Pray for Phyllis as she ministers in the Christian Women's Club. Pray for women who are seeking God, to join the Ladies Bible Studies.

Prayer Requests: Pray for continued growth/grasp of the Bosnian language, and effective understanding of culture in Sarajevo and Bosnia as a whole. Pray for new financial support for the Ministry Center.

Joyce Gibson	Lydia Home of the Quad Cities	Davenport, IA
Joyce works with the Lydia Home for battered wormen. Joyce's responsibilities include organizing a program and and volunteers for the neighborhood children.
Prayer Requests: Pray for wisdom for the many emotional and physical needs of the families that the center serves. Pray the staff and the volunteers of the center will show and share the love of Christ.

Ron Hesselgrave	TouchGlobel Ministries, Division of EFCA-IM	Rockford, IL
Ron's responsibilities include overseeing the receiving and shipping of supplies and maintaining the ministry center database of Rockford, IL. Ron is also responsible for educating students, volunteers, and missionaries on the biblical reasons for ministries of compassion.
Prayer Requests: Pray for the overwhelming responsibilites of running the center. Pray the Lord will call up volunteers to help with sorting and shipping of donated items.

Stewart & Patti Humphry	EFCA-IM	Budapest, Hungary
Stewart assists with planning and organization of special projects to help with various short-term teams that come from the United States. He assists with training Hungarians to share the gospel.
Prayer Requests: Pray for the students that attend our English outreach club/classes going on this fall. Pray for the construction teams working on the project at the ministry center.

Rachel Martin	EFCA TouchGlobal Ministries	Congo, Africa
Prayer Requests: Pray that God would lay on His people's hearts the need to help with TouchGlobal's need for shipping finances. Much needed supplies can't be sent because we lack shipping money for sending all the necessary supplies to their destination. Pray for the many, many hurting people in the Congo - pray God would provide hope where there seems to be so little.

Jim & Kay Panaggio	EFCA-IM	Lima, Peru
Jim is the country leader for the Evangelical Free Church Mission team in Lima, Peru. This involves overseeing all of the mission's ministry and personnel in Peru, serving as liason with the national church, and leading the mission in making plans and strategies. Jim is also director of the Leadership Training School sponsored by the national church. This school is designed to train lay leaders for the churches of Peru. Jim is helping plant a church in a poor area called Condevilla.
Prayer Requests: Pray for our new church plant in Condevilla to grow and to reach more people from the commun- ity, especially men. Pray for Jim's two mentoring groups, one with the pastors, the other with a groups of lay leaders. Pray that God would use these groups to impact many lives.

Prayer Requests: Pray for the development of the CAM team, and for the development of the new groups in English and Spanish. Pray that God would help us know what to study and how to specifically impact our neighbors. Also pray for our support. We are about $100 a month lacking at the moment.

Prayer Requests: Pray for Gary's involvement with short-term leader training events this spring. Pray for Marilyn as she focuses her energies on writing OEC materials. Pray for our children as they continue to make life decisions. Praise for great ministry opportunities with international students at ISU through teaching, mentoring, and hospitality.
