Small Groups

"GRACE CONNECTIONS" are groups of 8-12 people that meet in homes throughout our area during the week at various times. They are one of the main ways Grace Evangelical Free Church extends the love of Christ into neighborhoods of the Quad Cities and helps Christians establish life-changing, fulfilling relationships around the Lord Jesus Christ.

While our worship services and Adult Bible Fellowships are a vital part of our spiritual growth, small groups are those places where we meet with fewer people, grow deeper in our relationships, and continue to grow together as authentic followers of Jesus Christ.

In Luke 6:12,13 we read, "One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them." During His earthly ministry, our Lord focused on training this small group of twelve men in order to prepare them for further ministry. In Acts 2:42-47, we see that small groups meeting in homes were one of the main ways that Christians encouraged and built up one another and reached out to their neighbors and friends. Just read the Book of Acts and see how God continued to use small groups in a mighty way to help people become authentic followers of Jesus Christ.

It is our desire that God would continue to use small groups the same way at Grace Evangelical Free Church. We would like to see each person involved in a life-giving "Grace Connecting" community.
